Careers at CSI

Construction Solutions, Inc. provides structural engineering and building envelope consulting to condominium associations, HOAs, and commercial property owners across Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina. We are a small team with two Florida offices, a steady project pipeline, and a clear preference for engineers who want full ownership of their work from site walk to sealed drawing.

What it is like to work here

CSI runs lean by design. The engineer who walks the site is the engineer who writes the report and stamps the drawings. Boards and property managers reach the person doing the work directly. The result is faster decisions, clearer communication, and engineering that holds up under scrutiny.

Direct ownership

You walk the site, you write the report, you stamp the drawings. The work that leaves your desk reaches the client with your name on it.

Steady pipeline

A long-standing book of condominium association and property-management clients across the Southeast keeps the project schedule full and predictable.

Two Florida offices

Headquartered in Fernandina Beach with a Ponte Vedra Beach branch. Field work spans the Florida coast and extends into Georgia and South Carolina.

License and CE covered

CSI pays for PE license renewal, continuing education, and professional memberships. You stay current; the firm covers the cost.

Field gear provided

Vehicle allowance and field equipment provided by the firm, including ladders, moisture meters, IR tools, and laptop.

A team that values judgment

Craftsmanship, sound technical judgment, and durable client relationships are the standards we measure work against. Quality is the deliverable.

Florida-Licensed Professional Engineer

Fernandina Beach or Ponte Vedra Beach, FL Full-time 3 to 7 years post-licensure preferred, not required

About the role

Construction Solutions, Inc. (CSI) is a structural and building envelope consulting firm with offices in Ponte Vedra Beach and Amelia Island. We serve condominium associations, HOAs, and property managers across Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina. Approximately eighty percent of our work is existing-building evaluation, milestone inspection, Structural Integrity Reserve Studies (SIRS), restoration design, and forensic investigation.

We are a small team with a steady project pipeline and a strong proposal win rate. We are looking for a Florida-licensed Professional Engineer who can take ownership of projects from the first site walk through final stamped drawings.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct building envelope, structural, and condition evaluations of existing condominium and commercial properties.
  • Perform milestone inspections and Structural Integrity Reserve Studies (SIRS) in accordance with Florida statute requirements.
  • Investigate water intrusion, concrete distress, sealant failure, and related forensic structural issues.
  • Prepare restoration and repair design documents, including stamped drawings and specifications.
  • Author clear, well-supported field reports and engineering opinions for association boards and property managers.
  • Provide construction-phase observation, RFI review, and pay-application review on restoration projects.
  • Coordinate with property managers, contractors, and association leadership across every project phase.
  • Travel to project sites across Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina as the work requires.

Qualifications

  • Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in Florida.
  • Three to seven years of post-licensure structural or building envelope experience preferred but not required.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver projects independently from site visit through sealed deliverable.
  • Working knowledge of Florida Statute 553.899 (milestone inspections) and Florida Statute 718.112(2)(g) (SIRS) is a plus.
  • Background in existing-building work (forensics, restoration, condition assessment) preferred over new-construction design.
  • Comfort with field work, including ladder access, roof walks, and balcony observations.
  • Strong written communication and a measured, professional manner with non-technical clients.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina service area.
